Monet and Lorenzo both chose the drug life for their family. It's not just Lorenzo, it's Monet too because she chose to marry Lorenzo and have him as the father of her kids. I will always stand by my opinion of Monet had a choice to let Dru and Diana go to school while Lorenzo was locked up, but she kept holding them back which is why Monet is dealing with the rebellious actions from them right now. Monet didn't listen to Lorenzo when he wanted Diana to go to school, but she listened to him when it came to the drug game. Cane is the only person from the trio of children that accepts being in the game. Whereas you have Dru and Diana wanted to pursue a legit life, but Monet's manipulative and stubborn ass wanted to keep them in the drug game.

When Zeke got killed I kind of wish that it had of been something to do with Cane trying to run the business on his own. It should have been more of Mecca finding out Cane f***** up and got his son Zeke killed. Then Lorenzo having to cover Cane's ass so Monet wouldnt find out. I would have preferred that they had a kept Mecca and Lorenzo on the show for Noma to come in and take both of them out. Mecca wanting revenge for Zeke but with Noma. Lorenzo trying to keep control of the situation to protect his son but hiding it from Monet. Noma taking out Lorenzo for coming at Mecca. But eventually taking Mecca out as well for his betrayal of trying to be with Monet and stealing her ring. In my version Mecca gave Monet that ring already which Lorenzo finds and has in his possession before he dies. This would definitely had Monet and Tariq working together against Noma. Cane would still be working for Noma because the truth would have came out about killing Zeke. Monet would disown him like before and instead of Dru/Diana trying to be against their mother it would have been still to take Cane out.

I do hope that as Power continues, they come up with more creative endings for characters and allow characters and storylines to develop instead of just killing them for shock value. In the OG Power, they let it simmer until characters had to be addressed. Hallucinations, IMO, are just gap fillers for unresolved storylines.
